Kashmir changes character with every season. Spring (April–May) brings tulip fields into bloom in Srinagar. Summer (June–August) is ideal for Gulmarg and Pahalgam's green meadows. Autumn (September–October) paints the chinar trees gold. Winter (December–February) turns Gulmarg into a snow-sports destination.
For families, spring and early summer are the most comfortable. For snow activities, plan a December–February trip and carry heavy woollens.
